Triple Crown of High Adventure

Posted on Oct 24 2016 - 10:54am
The Triple Crown award is earned by participating in high adventure trips to 3 of the 4 BSA High Adventure bases.  We have 5 members of the Troop that have now earned this award with our trip to Sea Base this past summer.  Congratulations to Scouts Adam K and Danny C, and to adults Kunal Berry, Ed Cryer, and Pat Klein.

Scrip Fundraising!!

Posted on Oct 23 2016 - 9:39pm

Don't forget about Scrip gift card fundraising.   It is really simple - scouts sell gift cards for hundreds of places people use frequently at face value, then 3% or more goes into their scout accounts to be used on any scouting activity.

If your parent can drive please let me know, and specify how many people can fit in their vehicle. Thank you.

If you are going:

-Arrive at Young school in Class A uniform

Thank you, Kyle

2018 High Adventure - Need to understand interest

Posted on Oct 21 2016 - 8:43am

After discussions at the past couple of Troop meetings it was decided that we will try for 2 different trips during the summer of 2018.  One trip is planned for Sea Base and the other to Philmont.  There is a lottery system for securing spots so we will need to start putting in bids before the end of this year or early next year.  Please keep in mind that in order to attend, a scout would need to be either 14 in 2018, or 13 and have graduated 8th grade.  This means that the scouts in the Phoenix patrol will not yet be old enough to attend.

Troop Halloween Party

Posted on Oct 18 2016 - 9:50pm

Sorry that I forget to keep mentioning this sooner, but it was mentioned at tonight's meeting that next Tuesday, October 25th, will be our Troop halloween party. We will not be able to do this on November 1st, since we will be planning for the November 4th cabin camp out at that meeting, and will also most likely be hosting some visiting Webelos again.
